Along the slopes which go from Andria to Castel del Monte, at the beginning of "Parco dell'Alta Murgia", the Alicino family owns "Tenuta Montevitolo", situated at 314 meters on the sea level, 10 Kilometres far from Andria and about 21 Kilometres from the Adriatic Sea

The Estate, mentioned in the books about the local history because of particular events which took place here (Brigantaggio), stretches on 60 hectares grown with olive and grapevines.

Inside this wide green expanse, a white, nineteenth-century farmhouse stand in an ancient, absolute quiet. It is composed by different buildings which were once used as oil-press, wine cellar, storehouses and stables, today after long and meticulous restoration that has brought the whole structure to the ancient beauty, cultural events and demostrations of different kinds are held inside it.

The main building of the whole Estate is the ecletctic Villa dated to the beginning of the twentieth century; it was an ancient summer residence built on three levels; now it is a pleasant relais with eight comfortable rooms and very refined suite; from the wide terraces you can enjoy a spectacular, breathtaking landscope, from the hills of the enigmatic Castel Del Monte to The Unmistakable Gargano.

In the ancient crusher you can visit the ethnological findings dated to the eigtheenth and nineteen century.

Lots of "trulli" of exquisite workmanship stand in the surrounding countryside, among the olive trees and the grapevines creating a charming and unique atmosphere.
